What I offer
I offer enneagram typing interviews, which is a formal way of saying I can guide you through a conversation to help you work out your type.
As with so many things in life, it can be helpful to have another perspective when asking big questions and making important decisions. From navigating relationships to careers to dreams, it is so helpful to recognise what motivates us.
I often liken the typing process to a visit to the optometrist where you’re offered different lenses to help improve your vision, but it’s up to you to work out which lens helps you see more clearly.
While the enneagram is a powerful tool that can help uncover what’s motivating us, it can be easy to get hung up on certain words and believe we’ve found our type and mistype ourselves.
The good news is that I can help by taking you through an enneagram interview.
How it works
I offer hour-long interviews and will guide you through a conversation designed to identify the types you resonate with the most.
1
After a quick outline of the interview process, I will guide you through a short grounding exercise and ask a series of questions designed to uncover what you value most strongly, including topics like freedom, connection and security.
2
I will then ask a few more questions to sharpen my understanding of your motivations and present you with a few types that reflect your inner world the most.
3
After this, there is an opportunity to discuss how these types show up in your life, and I will share some resources to help you as you reflect on the observations I shared.
Interviews take place over Zoom and the cost is £60 per session. You usually only need one but I’d be happy to arrange a follow-up session, if required.
Why pick me?
I’m a certified practitioner in the Narrative Enneagram tradition. I’ve found the enneagram to be such a helpful tool myself, that I studied and trained to help others on their journey to work out their enneagram type, qualifying via Enneagram Training UK in 2023 after a few years of study, practice and supervision.
This training helped me appreciate the nuances of how each enneagram type shows up in different people, as it can be so easy to focus on behaviour over motivations. More importantly, it helped me develop empathy for the challenges that different types struggle with.
What People Are Saying
Couldn’t I just take an online test?
Yes, of course. For some people this is enough to help them identify their type straight away.
However, if you want to recognise the full potential that the enneagram offers as a tool for personal growth and development, a typing interview can offer:
A human perspective
focusing on more than just the content of your answers but looking at your experience as a whole
An enhanced dialogue
giving you the opportunity to bounce ideas off of an experienced practitioner and receive feedback in the moment
A compassionate ear
from someone else doing the work and knowing just how challenging it can be to explore some parts of our inner world
Online tests can also miss the nuances of what makes us human - for example, the ways that our upbringing and culture may have influenced our perspective - so having a conversation around how we see the world can offer much more insight.
